Private Development · Est. 1998

Most buildings are sold. The best are inherited.

Arden builds four private houses a year, each on ground nobody else would build on. Keep scrolling, and watch one rise.

Aurelia House — Commission 019

Bare rock in March.
Lit from the inside by October.

At Arden, we take the sites other developers walk away from, and spend the first month drawing nothing but the ground, the wind, and where the light lands.

How we work

Four commissions a year, no more, and never on speculation. Every house is drawn for the plot it stands on and the family who will keep it. What survives the process is only what the site asked for.

The Gold Coast — Commission 021

Same headland.
Twenty-five storeys of it.

Voices from our houses

They spent the first month drawing nothing but the ground. We thought we were paying for a house; what we got was an argument about where the light lands in February, and they were right about all of it.
